Terms of use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading or using Paper Invoice ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is made by Winton Gee ("we" or "us"). It makes PDF invoices on your device. It is not a payment processor: you collect payment from your clients yourself.

2. Your invoices

You are responsible for what your invoices say, including amounts, tax and any rules that apply to invoicing where you work. The app does not give tax, legal or accounting advice.

3. Eligibility and requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
• The app runs on iPhone with iOS 15.1 or later, or iPad with iPadOS 15.1 or later.

4. Apple's standard license

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (opens in a new tab), together with these terms. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to the license. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

5. Your data

Your invoices, clients and business details are stored only on your device and are not backed up by us. If the app or the device is deleted or lost, the data may be lost with it, so keep copies of your invoice PDFs. See the privacy policy for details.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects will be corrected.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINTON GEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM LOSS OF DATA OR UNPAID INVOICES. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Intellectual property

The app, including its design and content, is owned by Winton Gee and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
